Develop your startup project @The Place
We Can StartUp! is a fully curated event centered around “Female entrepreneurship”, at the end of which three teams will join our Community!
The aim of this initiative is to change the landscape, promote, support and guide female founders to fulfil their potential, as well as to encourage more women to become entrepreneurs.
If you’re a female founder (at least 50% or team is female) and would like to enter the competition, please submit your application with all the requirements described below
An insightful evening with: Presentations & panel discussions around Diversity and how we can reduce the gender gap, and a pitch competition!
The startup ecosystem in Berlin is mostly led by male entrepreneurs. The Place Berlin wants to encourage more women to become entrepreneurs by welcoming three new teams.
This competition addresses the gender gap in the startup leadership. To enter the competition, there is only one requirement: your startup is lead or co-founded by female or the team is at least 50% female.
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with: a short description of you and your team/ a pitch deck and contact details (phone + LinkedIn)
By June 11th, all the applications will be reviewed and the 10 most innovative and interesting startups will get the chance to pitch in front of our great audience and expert jury.
The top 3 teams will win the opportunity to become members of our Community:
1st prize: 3 month fix membership for free
2nd prize: 2 months fix membership for free
3rd prize: 1 month fix membership for free
In addition, we offer to all winners all our in-house benefits – such as The Smarts, our mentorship program, Hackathons, Meetups, workshops, seminars – and access to our Global Network in order to find the relevant connections and to help their business grow.
The competition will take place on 18th of June at 6pm at The Place Berlin, our innovation Hub for start-ups and innovation. All ambitious entrepreneurs, dreamers and problem-solvers, gender-equality supporters are very welcome this event and get a sense of what we do here. We work hard to create the right environment for our Placers to connect on a social level, and translate those friendships into opportunities for collaboration.
